General Rules
Our Community
- Our site is rated PG-13. Which means we only allow people of thirteen years and above to join. If you mark the thread M, I will allow some references to drugs, sex, and violence, but no details. If you must go into detail, please do not do it in the threads or in the shoutbox!
- Respect each other. Not only the staff, but every member. Respect everyone for their beliefs and opinions, and avoid starting fights out of character. We have a friendly and welcoming community and want everyone to stay true to that.
- Understand that others have real lives outside of this site. Do not forcefully push members to reply to threads and everyone must be patient. After all, real life should always come in the first place and roleplaying should be seen as a fun and enjoyable hobby. If replies take over a week then you can talk about it to staff. Any threads that go over a month without a response will be archived.
- That said, if you are planning to be away for a week or longer, please be respectful to your fellow members and post in the Introductions and Farewells thread with an approximate timeline of when you will be away. However, if you don't know how long or can't tell us you won't receive punishment beyond the normal two month rule.
-Any role-play threads and groups will be archived after two months.
-Be Creative
- Avatar size limit is 135x340 pixels, anything larger than this will be resized. For more help on this, you can view our Avatar Guide. Signatures don't have a limit since they will get resized automatically, but despite this please don't make them too big either.
- We do not accept any form of art or character theft on this site. If you are using a character or artwork made by someone else which we recognize, we will ask you if it they are your own creations, and if it is not, we ask if you have gained permission to use the artwork or character. If you are not good at making characters yourself you can always take a look at our Adoptables Board, and if you are not good at making a picture of your character it would be safe to use stock photography or request art in Art Shops various members made.
Your Content
- If you ever decide to leave Confictura, please let us know. We will archive your threads or you can ask us to delete them for you. Normally accounts are not deleted but if wished that can be done too. If we use any ideas you may have suggested for the site, we will remove that too if wanted. Remember that you are the owner of your own content.
Character Rules
Playable Species
- There will be a list for playable species, and banned species, for anyone who wants to look. Also feel free to make up your own, or join with one not listed, but know that new species will likely take longer to be accepted, and unless requested otherwise, will be open for all members to use once they are accepted, but they can be reserved to the maker if requested before hand.
Biographies and Accounts
- You may NOT roleplay without a biography, You are also not eligible for Of The Month or Milestone awards, purchasing shopping goods, or joining or creating a group.
- Our site goes by the account per character system, which means that for every character you will create there is a separate account. This is to keep everything neat and accurate. I would not do this normally, but since accounts are linked, and you can use the same log-in for multiple accounts now with Proboards, I will in force this. If you have more that one character, and want to have a main account, that's fine, just remember to use the account that matches the character you are replying with when in RP threads.
Roleplaying Rules
Writing
- Roleplay posts should be written in third person (he, she, his, etc) and in past tense. These posts also need to contain at least 150 words, though we are not very strict on that and as long as you write 150 words on average it is fine. If you are a beginner at roleplaying it is okay to have fewer words in your first posts too and try to slowly build up your word count. We also want to ask of you to write proper structured posts with correct usages of grammar, paragraphs, commas and periods. Having troubles with roleplaying or writing long posts? - Liquid time, which means letting characters be in multiple threads at once, is allowed.
Interaction
- Friendship or maybe even love relationships between any species can happen. However some species are unable, or are unlikely, to produce living or healthy offspring.
Mates and Offspring
- Finding a mate, mating and birthing can take place in any season.
- We do not allow any graphic mating or birthing scenes on this site. Fading to black is okay, but do not describe the whole birthing or mating scene itself and everything before and after the fade to black moment may not be graphic either. We are very strict on this rule. Any kind of actual graphic mating scenes will be deleted and you will be given a warning. If you continue to repeat the behavior you risk getting banned.
- Young may be born at anytime after their parents have mated, as long as you will make clear it has a time skip in it. You can let the staff choose how the young look for you, or if you feel creative you can think up the cubs yourself.
Fighting
- Fighting scenes are allowed, the fighting scenes may not be too graphic or overly gory. Killing someone's character is only allowed with permission from the owner, but please be careful on describing this so it won't be too graphic. If it does, the scene will be deleted out of your post and you will receive a warning.
The Obvious
-Godmodding (making your character invincible to everything) is not permitted.
-Powerplaying (controlling other characters without permission) is not permitted.
-Metagaming (using knowledge your character could not possibly have) is not permitted.
